5 Last-Minute Homemade Holiday Food Gifts

It happens. You ran out of time and still need a thoughtful gift for someone!

Homemade gifts are already extra special. I mean, you took time to make it, instead of just swiping your credit card. Homemade food gift are a whole new level. Food is something that just brings people together, it's something to enjoy and bond over. You can whip up one of these food gifts and pair it with a recipe card for how you made it - and it's instantly a beautiful and thoughtful gift. Bonus points if you have a story for the food you made, like why you love it and why you thought the person you're gifting it to will love it, too!

I've made all of these food gifts at some point throughout the years (not always last minute) and I usually give them to all of mine and Peter's aunts, friends and coworkers.

So if you're looking for something to gift or bring to a loved one for the holidays, these ideas are sure to impress whoever receives them!

5 Last-Minute Homemade Holiday Food Gifts:

  1. Homemade Holiday Cookie Assortment - See my last blog post for 12 of my favorites!

  2. Cookie Mix in a Jar - I've been making this as a gift since I was a Girl Scout in the late 90s/early 2000s. I love this idea of adding your favorite chocolate chip cookie mix with some festive M&Ms!

  3. Spiced Pepitas & Pecans - I personally love to make a big batch of this recipe, and package them up in glass jars!

  4. Salted Toffee Pretzel Bites - This recipe from Liz Moody is so easy to make, and so delicious! Salty-sweet lovers will swoon.

  5. Sourdough Starter - If you're like me and spent 10 months perfecting your sourdough bread, you should spread the bread-love and give some of your starter as a gift. Just simply put some in separate jars, and feed them them with water and flour. You'll just have to store it in the refrigerator until you're ready to gift them!

I'd love to see some of your holiday food gifts! Share them with me @bewellwithmarissa on Instagram and Facebook!

Happy Holidays & Be Well!
