Flourless Dark Chocolate Chunk Tahini Blondies (vegan, gluten-free, grain-free)
Updated: Jun 25, 2020
Tahini is my new favorite addition to dessert! Tahini is a spread with a similar consistency to nut butter, but it's made of ground sesame seeds instead of nuts. Tahini is one of the main ingredients in hummus, so if you've had hummus- you've had tahini!
This blondie recipe has another very special ingredient...white beans! Oh, and chocolate chunks... because is it even dessert without chocolate?

Serves: 9
Prep Time: 10 min
Total Time: 25 min
INGREDIENTS
1 15oz can white beans, rinsed & drained
1/2 cup tahini
1/3 cup maple syrup
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup dark chocolate, roughly chopped (you can sub in chocolate chips)
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and spray 8x8 inch pan with nonstick cooking spray and line with parchment paper.
Add all ingredients except chocolate chunks to a food processor and process on high until batter is smooth (about 2-3 minutes)
Fold in 1/4 cup of the chocolate chunks into the batter.
Spread batter into pan. sprinkle remaining chocolate chunks on top.
Bake for 18-20 minutes or until edges start to brown.
Allow to cool completely before cutting into 9 squares.
